VB Jams Program

Welcome to VB Jams, an innovative initiative of the Military Owned Collaborative, Inc. (MOC), led by the committed Navy Veteran and dedicated musician, Matt Hansen. Our program is designed to serve our brave veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, retirees, their dependents, and the first responder community, harnessing the transformative power of music for healing, empowerment, and personal growth.

Our Mission

VB Jams operates on the belief that music transcends barriers and brings people together. We aim to cultivate an environment where individuals from our dedicated communities can explore the power of music, discover their potential, and channel their creativity towards personal growth and healing.

What We Offer

  • Weekly Jam Sessions: Our core group of seasoned musicians host weekly jam sessions. These sessions serve as a platform for our Jamsters (participants) and Jambassadors (mentors) to create, learn, and grow together in a supportive, collaborative environment.

  • Mentorship Program: Our Jambassadors are experienced musicians who provide guidance and mentorship to our Jamsters. Their expertise aids in fostering a conducive environment for learning, creativity, and growth.

  • Music Events: VB Jams hosts monthly showcase music events in public venues, offering our Jamsters an opportunity to demonstrate their talents before friends, family, and the community. These events also serve to celebrate progress and share the transformative power of music.

  • Support Roles: We also provide a range of opportunities in supportive roles within the music industry. Whether it’s roadies, music technicians, or music promoters, we offer a holistic view of the music industry.

  • Music Retreats: VB Jams sponsors and organizes music retreats in the vibrant city of San Diego, CA, creating an immersive, therapeutic experience for our participants to delve deeper into their musical journey.

  • Recording Opportunities: As our Jamsters progress, we offer the opportunity to professionally record their music. Their recorded music will be featured on popular platforms like iTunes and Spotify, amplifying their voices to a larger audience.
